INA (Light)

Sadler’s Wells partnered with Channel 4 Random Acts to create original films reflecting a variety of dance styles from post-modern dance to contemporary African and hip-hop theatre, the films are informed by themes such as race representation, gender and identity.

In director Aneil Karia and choreographer Alesandra Seutin’s raw and charged film INA (LIGHT) two dancers struggle through the fear-drenched darkness of oppression and the feverish chaos associated with it. Only having battled with this do they get their first glimpse of the light - and the freedom and serenity that comes with it.
